Turkeyneck Records releases a swag of new albums
(Thursday, 24 July 2008) Written by Robert Lee

Turkeyneck records has a swag of releases coming out in the next two months Firstly a 34trk Best of from Brisbane's much loved  punk/ska/rocknroll stalwarts Blowhard.Titled Five Minute Ride Through Hell, Celebrating nearly 20 years of existence this compilation spans a decade from their early singles and ep's through their 3 albums to 2000's Toxic Swing. With an extensive booklet detailing their existence and importance in the Brisbane punk rock scene. With all of their releases currently out of print this best of will certainly please all concerned.

Adelaide's Kamikaze has been tearin it up around their home town for five years with countless jaunts to melbourne and everywhere in between. Kamikaze have come up with an absolute balltearer of an album with the 12trk "Crash Burn and Bleeeed!!" This record lays somewhere in that punk rock tradition that all punk must rock, If you mix The Dwarves with Nashville Pussy with a big lashing of Bored! and Cosmic Psycho's  wah drenched heavyness, you'll catch my drift.

Chucknee's "A Display of Perfomances Imitating Things" is about as leftfield as we here at Turkeyneck can get. The 24trk album is a surf exotica meltdown with touches of canto pop.

To launch these releases we are having a shindig titled.
