Technical Symplicity go into Orbit at the Sands
(Saturday, 29 November 2008) Written by Rhys Fox

It’s been a long, drawn out 18 months for Sunshine Coast 4-piece Technical Symplicity, but they are finally unleashing their debut EP Orbit next Friday, December 5th at the Sands Tavern, Maroochydore as they support Central Queensland’s Epidemic...Over.

Technical Symplicity, whose progressive, groove-based hard rock sound has gained them a loyal fan base on the Sunshine Coast, have faced the usual trials of any band, with line-up changes and other issues threatening the delay of the release.

The band will be doing 2 shows in December, at the Sands Tavern and one at the QUT Guild Bar in Brisbane, with a quick break over Christmas, and then a more fleshed out East Coast Tour is planned through January and February.

Epidemic...Over will be fresh from supporting the popular Shihad on the Queensland leg of their tour, and the promising, energetic four piece will demonstrate their emotional vocals combined with hard-hitting guitars and a tight, driving rhythm section.

Kicking off the night will be A Mark Amongst Sounds, a brisbane-based one-man band who will blow you away with his thought-provoking lyrics and full sounding songs. If you like the popular That One Guy, then A Mark Amongst Sounds will be right up your alley.

You can get a copy of each of the band’s EPs on the night from the merch stands.

Tickets are $10, and doors open at 8pm.

This is strictly an 18+ event.
