The Genes, one of Brisbane's favourite bands are celebrating their 20th year and will be appearing at The Joynt, West End on Sunday February 21 from 4 - 7 pm.  

From their early beginnings at The Picasso Bar in Spring Hill where they made it their own venue, and the Spring Hill Festival, early Livid Festival in 1992, The Genes have become part of Brisbane's original band music history.  

They have had record deals, produce and distribute their own albums, and just continue what they love doing best, surfing (now living on the Tweed Coast) and writing new music.  There's more information, live clips, free downloads on the website: www.thegenes.com
