CD launch - PonyPalooza! perhaps maybe?!? are thomas the black on guitar and vocals, stingray on drums and vocals, kazeus on kazoo, slide whistle, duck caller and vocals, and heather the magnificent on bass and vocals. perhaps maybe?!? have been dominating pony-core across Brisbane and beyond since 2008, playing venues such as the Jubilee Hotel, the Troubadour, the Step Inn, 4ZzZ’s car park, the Clarence Corner, the Cleveland Tavern and Shed 5 (Gold Coast). They have played two Hardcore Halloweens as well as LockDown’s Australia Day shows and 4ZzZ’s Brainbanana, as well as supporting UK punkers The Varukers when they toured in 2009. perhaps maybe?!? recently recorded their debut CD, “Giddy Up”, which will be launched at PonyPalooza!, an eight band extravaganza at the Jubilee Hotel on Sat April 17. Joining perhaps maybe?!? will be Blowhard, Cursed Earth, JJ Speedball, Pippi Lips (from North Stradbroke Island) and newcomers The Blasted Heath, Midnight Unicorn and Cheap Thrills. Doors open 5pm and it’s $10 for 4ZzZ subscribers, $15 for the rest. The Blasted Heath feature Protest! and The Quickening members. Midnight Unicorn hail from numerous bands including Sausage Chopper, Community Cervix, Novia Scotia and perhaps maybe?!?. This will be the debut show for both Midnight Unicorn and Cheap Thrills. “Giddy Up!” was recorded and mastered at Zero Interference studios by Bryce “magic hands” Moorhead. The CD features artwork from local musicians and artists and features 7 songs and a bonus secret track. It has been pressed at Media Movers using post-consumer waste and recycled materials because it is important to the band that we preserve the planet for the sake of the ponies!
