Stolen Guitars Fund Raiser - Friday December 08, 2006
Just because it's a rockabilly gig, doesn't mean there aren't thieves lurking.
At the Slim Jim Phantom and Darrel Higham show at The Tivoli on November 17, two guitars, cases and associated gear were stolen from support bands, Men Into Space and The Ten Fours, while the Ten Fours were playing on stage. The gear included a Fender Stratocaster guitar, a Danelectro customised guitar, both in their cases, along with two effects pedals, tuners and numerous accessories.
To raise funds to help replace these items, Robot International is hosting a benefit show on Friday, December 8, at The Troubadour. Entertainment will include Men into Space, West Texas Crude, The Ten Fours and DJ Lori Lee.
The night will be just like the regular Custom Rockabilly nights and will be jam-packed with rockin’ tunes to keep the punters boppin’ all night. Everyone is welcome to get their glad rags on and come along to raise some funds for the musos and inject a strong dose of spirit into the rockabilly community at this special time of year.
