Spring Shaping Up for New Soul Festival
(Thursday, 05 August 2010) Written by The Mooselodge Debacle

IF there's one thing you need to check out this September, its the first Soulful Spring Sounds Festival at Warrego Wines on Saturday 11 September.

Blues and roots music, organic markets and award-winning wine! What more could you possibly want in a festival??

Katie Toohey and Natasha Campbell, the brains behind the day, said they wanted to showcase Ipswich as the cultural haven they know it to be. The day will focus on sustainability and promote the importance of supporting local business.

While you're there, make sure you check out the musical stylings of award-winning bluesman Wiley Reed, and the other rockin bands that will be there, including up-and-comers Children of the Blues. TroubleKarmaFlow will be closing the day with their unique drum-driven brand of roots.

Peruse the fabulous hand made and green markets that will have many wonderful things on offer. From organic soy wax candles to wearable art.

Doors open 10am and close at 5pm. If you enjoy music and the arts (and a good glass of wine!) come and have some fun!
