elsewhere’s music policy is to support artists found ‘in our own backyard’ through providing a superior venue to showcase their talents.  On Saturday, 9^th August elsewhere will team up with MTV to host the Gold Coast finals of MTV Kickstart – a National initiative to assist aspiring and independent artists by giving them all the tools necessary to break into the music industry.  On July 30 industry judges selected 5 finalists from the large pool of entries received to perform live in an up-close-and-personal gig at elsewhere. elsewhere has recently upgraded the sound system in an effort to continually improve its musical journey and is guaranteed to showcase the amazing talents of our local bands.  Combining mind-blowing music, superior quality sound and an intimate and truly individual club the Gold Coast leg of the tour is assured to rock the socks off official Kickstart judge, Darren McMullen (MTV VJ and presenter of live local music show ‘The Lair’).  Darren will visit each city on the Kickstart trail and reward one lucky band from each city with a spot in the National finals.
