Based on the graphic novel by Mark Millar & J.G. Jones, the new over-the-top action thriller Wanted tells the story of an ordinary guy, Wesley (Atonement’s James McAvoy), who finds out he’s actually inherited membership in a worldwide collective of assassins known as The Fraternity. Mentored by a female assassin (Angelina Jolie) and the group’s leader (Morgan Freeman), Wesley now needs to come into his birthright, but can he survive it? Directed by Timur Bekmambetov(Night Watch/Day Watch), Wanted is an unapologetically hi-octane action blockbuster, and thanks to Universal, Rave has five double in-season passes to the film (opening July 31) and two t-shirts.

 Melbourne-based ambient group All India Radio are releasing a brand-spanking new album titled Fall, the result of years of experience and evolution, and the introduction of Leona Prue’s whimsical vocals to the band. To celebrate the release of the group’s said fifth album on July 21 through US label Minty Fresh, Rave has kindly been given three copies of the CD to giveaway.

The four-piece band of Avalon Drive have just announced an exciting show at the Zoo on Wednesday, August 6, showcasing the band’s new EP set for release late August through SonyBMG.  The lucky 13th album for The Brian Jonestown Massacre, released in May through MGM, has not disappointed with its quality and controversy thus far, with its opening track titled Bring Me The Head Of Paul McCartney On Heather Mill’s Wooden Peg (Dropping Bombs On The White House) having a memorable ring to it. The cult rockers will be touring Australia this August and have announced they will be performing at The Arena on August 27 to coincide with the release of this latest album, My Bloody Underground.
