Swedish singer-songwriter José González contributed a song called Far Away to the soundtrack of Red Dead Redemption, which you can see him performing in all its mournful cowboy glory live on a rooftop.

Cut Copy don’t return home until September for their Gold Coast Parklife appearance on Saturday Sep 25, but you can get a taste of their new stuff with the track Where I’m Going. It’s bundles down your speakers like a beagle puppy, chockfull of blissed out woo-oohs, ahh-ahhs and yeah-yeahs… there’s even a wee throwback to their shoegaze electronics. It’s a fun, light track – and one that points towards summertime parties and a summertime release for their much anticipated third LP (which is due for mixing by Ben Allen of Gnarls Barkley and Animal Collective fame next month).
Head to www.cutcopy.net and click the Download A New Cut Copy Song link and it will be emailed to you – simple! Be first to comment on this article |

For those with Splendour tickets (sans tent) or even those holding out, hoping to win one, head to http://tiny.cc/79v1z. Terms apply, but Virgin Mobile has teamed up with Splendour organisers to offer 1000 free tents, and possibly one of those scarce-as-hens-teeth tickets. You need to become a member (it’s easy done on the site) but once you’re in, Members (plus one) gain access to some pretty spiffy options - ones they’re labelling the Posh Pit (VIP bathrooms), The Fast Lane (express bar queue) and The Power Point (a place to charge your phone - that’s open to members and non-members, mind).
The festival timetable is out too: http://tiny.cc/2x0bo – start your planning! Be first to comment on this article |
