Circle the wagons and break out the snake oil, The Allstar Flying Shoe Hit Parade are in town and its time for a showdown with the hoedown!!
The Allstar Flying Shoe Hit Parade is a rollicking revue of alt-country, folk and acoustic pop music bringing together a slew of Brisbane's finest singer/songwriter/musicians for one night of toe-tappin', thigh-slappin' pork and beans.
The show features a mix of world class original compositions with a smattering of classics from the likes of Hank, Patsy, The Band, The Stones and The Mac for some "dead horse" tang.
Climb aboard the wagon train of wry smiles with Kieran Waters, the wooden indian with a cheeky wit and a brace of songs awash in brine, wine and closing time.
Hear that lonesome whippoorwill?.. It's the sound of songbird Sue Ray. The Queen of the mid-west (Toowoomba that is...) has a voice of honeyed gold and a six-shooter aimed straight at your heart.
Get low down and dirty with the original ramblin' man, Baron Field. Bluesharp fuelled rattlers about little more than lettin’ out the throttle on an open stretch of road, the odd wrist-slasher tango and chug-along bile spitter about bustin’ up and makin’ out..or off...or both. You get the picture. Harmonising like The Andrews Sisters on hormone therapy and featuring the devastating flat pick of guitar slinger Jamie Clark, The Horse You Rode In On walk in with guns ablazin' and walk out with the Sheriffs wife.
If you don't walk out with raw palms and aching cheeks after a night with The Allstar Flying Shoe Hit Parade, the mortician's carving your tombstone friend... You're already gone!
