ImageThey’re heroes to many, and after forming in the Long Island town of Massapequa, New York in 1979, school buddies Brian Setzer, Lee Rocker and Slim Jim Phantom (James McDonnell to his mum) set about creating some of the most popular rockabilly tunes in the 1980s under their Stray Cats (pictured) moniker. Having acrimoniously split in 1984, and having worked on various other projects since, the trio reconvene for a final Farewell Tour – and they’re Brisbane bound! – Playing The Tivoli Thursday Feb 26, 2009. Tickets for The Stray Cats last Australian show hit Ticketek on Wednesday Jul 30.
