The Valley Mall is always a hive of activity, with the weekend markets no exception. Cue the inaugural Valley Markets Busking Competition, kicking off on Saturday Aug 9 at the Brunswick St Mall Rotunda. 28 performers have been announced on a weekly rotation with the finals happening Saturday Sep 6. There’s $2000 worth of cash and prizes up for grabs for the competitors. Kicking off heat one Saturday Aug 9 is Bec Plath, Benjamin Hooper, Dear April, Laurie Agar, Matt Neilsen, The Gonzo Show (pictured) and Dave J from 12 noon.
