New Film Maker wins award
Anna Osetroff of Stafford Heights wins THEpostWORKS Award for Excellence in Editing, at the Queensland New Filmmakers Awards Ceremony.
The award was presented by Bob Blasdall CEO of THEpostWORKS, on Saturday night at the QNFA gala presentation event at Brisbane's Tivoli.
Anna is a former student of The Queensland School of Film and Television and is presently working on the television show Bindi The Jungle Girl.
A music video edited by Anna, directed by David Cook and produced by Jay Corry was a finalist in the Music Video category.
Produced for Brisbane group Wren, featuring their latest song My Darling, the video highlights Anna's creative editing talent.
Commenting after the QNFA ceremony Film and Television Producer Penny Wall said "There is a rich pool of new film makers here in Brisbane and many will eventually move away to further their careers."
Anna Osetroff said "It is a pity that more companies, bands and anyone requiring film production do not get their work done here in Brisbane."
"Why look overseas or in Sydney when we have the studios, editors, cinematographers, sound recordists and production facilities right here in Brisbane."
