The Grass Roots Music Festival is on again for 2008, returning to he Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens on Sunday Sep 7. Fresh from launching his Rebel With A Cause LP, 8 Ball Aitken & His Band (pictured) will be headlining, alongside Q Song Award winners James Grehan and Chris Pickering, Deadly Award nominee indigenous artist Adam James, country rockers The Bobkatz, contemporary folk and roots artists Susanna Carman, Jord Allen, The Long Green Beans, and The Jimmy Watts Band, with special guest, Zimbabwean born, Brisbane living Tichawona Mashawa. Kicking off at 10.30 until 5pm. It may be just the place to take Dad on his day.
