Oldfrapp goes political. Yawn. PDF Print E-mail

ImageMadonna (pictured) is seemingly at a loose end with the ‘I must reinvent the shocking’ schtick. Debuting her Sticky & Sweet tour in Wales the 50-plus year-old had the usual sequins, top hats and choreographed set-pieces, but complimenting the four-act show was some video projections: images of destruction, global warming, Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler, Zimbabwe’s authoritarian President Robert Mugabe, and U.S. Senator John McCain. With a latter sequence illustrating deceased-Beatle John Lennon, Al Gore, Mahatma Gandhi and McCain’s Democratic rival Barack Obama. Oooh, risqué Madge.
