Thursday, 04 September 2008

Brisbane based music Industry business students Marnie Harris and Caitlin Just are proud to present “Alive @ The Hive”, an all ages acoustic charity show, to be held on Sunday 14 September at The Hive, from 1-4pm.

Proceeds from “Alive @ The Hive” will benefit “To Write Love On Her Arms” (TWLOHA), an international charity which donates to Kids Help Line. The show will feature independent Brisbane artists including the Fighting Talk, Sam Baxter, Doz, and Minus Penny.

TWLOHA is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for those struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide.

The show aims to provide local artists with the opportunity to perform their music, providing an enjoyable afternoon of blissful acoustic tunes to all ages fans whilst contributing to a charity which helps thousands of young people throughout the world every year.

Sisters Andrea, Nina and Jessi Dozzi (DOZ) have developed a strong following throughout Brisbane after a recent series of local gigs, allowing them to deliver their beautiful harmonies and showcase their talents as singer/ songwriters. The girls have performed at a previous TWLOHA charity show, which raised over one thousand dollars, and are looking forward to performing at The Hive.

“We had such a terrific time at the last benefit show and are proud to be involved in an event raising money for such a wonderful cause. It is a real pleasure for us to be a part of Alive @ the Hive and we hope everyone can come along,” says Andrea Dozzi.

Alive @ the Hive is being held on Sunday 14th September, at the Hive, 1st floor of 161 Elizabeth Street Brisbane (behind Kill the Music) from 1:00 PM- 4:00 PM. The event is all ages and tickets are $10 available at the door.
