- Fey and fashionable UK singer-songwriter Patrick Wolf has quashed rumours of early retirement by announcing he will release a double album dedicated to a lover. On his MySpace he told fans to “think Smashing Pumpkins and Kate Bush”.
- Snow Patrol’s new album A Hundred Million Suns, released Oct 27, will be the first to come with a custom application for iPhone and iTouch users. The ‘digital booklet’ will contain artwork, lyrics, and behind-the-scenes photos and video.
- Athens, Georgia indie weirdos Of Montreal have announced plans to release their new Oct 7-scheduled album Skeletal Lamping in seven different formats. Alongside CD and vinyl, the album will come as a download code sold with a t-shirt, button set, tote bag, wall decals, and a paper lantern (!) How illuminating.
