Start pouring over the fashion blogs, cause Laneway 2009 has been announced and – thankfully – the line-up reflects the beautiful people who are more than likely to be in attendance. So far announced is Girl Talk, Stereolab (pictured), Architecture In Helsinki, The Hold Steady, The Drones, Cut Off Your Hands, Four Tet, El Guincho, Jay Reatard, The Temper Trap, The John Steel Singers, Canyons, Pivot, Port O'Brien, Daedelus– and a slew of others. The venue has shifted to Alexandria St, Fortitude Valley (the RNA side of town) for the Saturday Jan 31 appointment, and here’s hoping there’s no more sound restrictions that impeded last year’s event.
