Convening on the home of songwriter Tylea Gould (pictured) and ARIA winning producer Magoo for an extended weekend of writing and recording, Songs Of Applewood is the culmination of a bunch of Brisbane’s finest songwriters, given unhampered freedom to focus solely on the craft of writing music. Featuring artists like Adele Pickvance (The Go Betweens/Ranger), David McCormack (Custard), Isaac Emmanuel (Flamingo Crash), Eddie Jacobson (Butterfingers), and a slew of others, artists were split in to pairs and given just a few hours to write a song before being recorded by Magoo and fellow-producer Jeff Lovejoy.
