- Monster Joe’s Halloween Truck & Tow pulls into Spooky Street on Friday Oct 31, with a show at it’s temporary home for the evening, The Valley Hotel Bar 388 (the old Dooley’s). It’s only $5 on the door for a night of indie and Guilty Pleasures DJs, plus the usual tricks & treats.
- Parisian DJ Cosmo Vitelli is headed to Queensland this week, playing two dates in our South East corner. The founder and head of I’m A Cliché, arguably Europe’s answer to DFA records, Vitelli plays Empire’s Moon Bar Friday Oct 31 (with Canyons, Twist Oliver Twist, Blue Carousel, Wolfgang DJs, D.Black and Ladyboy), and the Gold Coast’s Elsewhere Sunday Nov 2 (Giv, Audun, and Ladyboy). Having released and worked with Daft Punk, Simian Mobile Disco, Tacteel (TTC) and Yuksek, expect to be shimmying long into the night.
- Dark electro types Replikant are transmitting live as part of The Halloween Extravaganza Ball, Friday Oct 31 at Footsteps Art Gallery, (166 Ann St, City). Also on the bill is Felinedown, Dream Sequence and Frantic Miss. It’s $5 on the door.
- In possibly the most interesting Halloween-themed noise night, No Anchor, Yeow Meow, Influenza, and Loomer will congregate at West End’s Tongue & Groove on Friday Oct 31.
