The Conservation of North Ocean Shores group is challenging Byron Council’s approval in July of a trial Splendour In The Grass Festival at Yelgun next year — on the grounds of Yelgun’s “important biodiversity”. The matter goes to the Land and Environment Court this Friday (Nov 28). Splendour has long insisted that it had advice from environmentalists and that the council’s go-ahead is legal.
