Here’s something unusual for alternative music fans looking to get fit. 448 Demystify is a new personal training centre open at Wade’s Gym (Stanley St East, Coorparoo) designed specifically for those who might feel out of place at the major gym franchises, and for those who simply can’t afford the costs involved. Sessions are conducted to the tunes of local and underground music (no pumping handbag house), and cover weight training, cardio fitness, group training and nutrition advice. Supported by 4ZzZ and Trash Video, they even have a logo created by KMFDM’s album art designer – and you can’t get much more alternative than that.
