Awkward indie jiving will result
Heads up coolsies, Flying Foxes are custom built to begin appearing on your various horizons any moment now. Though this level of foppish sensibility and painfully hip bombast usually works hard to earn itself a tirade of disparaging commentary, these guys have dismantled the mould and managed to maintain an admirable style to substance ratio. Lost In Low Cloud is a hefty serving of top shelf pop, disarming in its ability to crawl inside your skull and take up a seemingly permanent residence there. Jangling guitars, morose vocals and bow ties will always please a Sydney crowd, and when you add the all-star production team of Scott Horscroft and Nilesh Patel to the recording process you’re going to come up trumps every time. Flying Foxes did just that, and they’ve got JJJ success stamped all over them. Fans of anything from Modest Mouse to Faker could enjoy this music.
