A documentary about Queensland’s second Songs of Applewood project goes online Wednesday Feb 25 on www.songsofapplewood.com. The initiative saw 21 QLD songwriters arrive at super-producer Magoo’s home on 10 acres of bushland where a 100-year old converted catholic church and barn serve as the studio. There under the guidance of Magoo and producer Jeff Lovejoy (they co-own Black Box Recording) the assembled had to co-write and record a song in one day. A 30-minute documentary, by Brandon Specht and Ken Weston, captured the process, and was launched at last year’s Q Music’s Big Sound Industry Summit.
