A charismatic and danceable treat, Teleprompter are a departure from traditional classifications. Merging indie rock attributes with an angular post-punk playing style, this quintessential quartet produce an enigmatic, no-holds-barred sound to the acclaim of critics and fans alike.
After a series of misfortunes involving a wizard, very tight jeans, faux explosives and a BLT, Teleprompter's 2nd EP "Evil Bat Island" is now primed and ready for launch upon the unsuspecting denizens of Brisbane. When questioned as to the exact circumstances surrounding the delays, several band members refused to comment, while one guitarist mumbled something sounding suspiciously like "I was young and needed the money". Speculation aside, the EP in question will be inflicted/released onto a bunch of handy humans on Friday the 17th of April at The Zoo, Fortitude Valley. Local bands Strange Attractors and Fasttrak Euphoria will be also be playing on the night, participants should bring $10 in personal burial money and arrive at 8pm.
