The Green Room Awards – a Melbourne-based professional stage and arts competition – have bestowed upon Brisbane singer-songwriter Jacob Diefenbach the award for Best Original Songs In the Cabaret Genre. Soon to begin recording his third album, Facing The Music (described as “a darkly comical and self-referential look at what it takes to ‘make it’ in the music biz”), Diefenbach will be back in Brisbane to play shows at the Judith Wright Centre on Jun 5, and The Globe Jun 6.
