"Unit 13 remind me of dirty sex at 4am, half closed eyelids in a bar surrounded by smoke and lust, and a lust I can't contain. In short, their music makes me want to dance!"

Magdalena, Mz Ann Thropik

Described as “the Presets on crack”, Unit 13’s debut album ‘thesexthedeaththedisco’ is a loud, dirty, and throbbing journey into the club scene. It is the sweat, euphoria and desire of bodies on the dance-floor. It is the voice of the club kids, the deviants and femme fatales of the night.

Robert Finder and Ivan Teklic began collaborating as Unit 13 in early 2008. In January 2009, the album was complete. They signed a deal with Generation Entertainment, and ‘thesexthedeaththedisco’ is now available on Beatport.

To celebrate the release, the guys are performing on Saturday June 27 at Spectrum on Oxford Street in Darlinghurst, Sydney.

Under the pseudonym, ‘Jet Black’, Ivan has released tunes internationally through several high profile labels, and has had his tracks played by Alex Kidd and major music festivals and clubs including Tidy New Year Weekender and Inside Out.

Rob is a musician, producer and engineer. As a COFA Honours student in 2007, he released his solo EP ‘Noisician’, and is currently completing Masters at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. His visual and audio work has been featured and distributed throughout the United States and Germany.

At the moment Rob and Ivan are working on material for the album launch, and remixing for further releases throughout 2009.

So check out the debut album from Unit 13 ‘thesexthedeaththedisco’!
