The musical world of STARCH is young, bold and crazy. Fat Funk blended with Hip Hop rhymes and burning Rock riffs form the sound of the seven-headed crew. For nearly ten years they've been living their credo that music has to feel good. So their shows present a big load of positive energy, craziness, inventiveness and light heartedness. With a twinkle in their eyes the young high-class musicians combine a wild Ska part with a hard Hip Hop beat, a P-Funk keys solo with a Balkan hornlick or a Jazz solo with a Boygroup dancemove in order to make their public dance. The band has proved its high musical level in more than 200 swiss concerts at venues like Jazzfestival Montreux Stravinsky Hall, Blueballs Festival Lucerne, Openair St.Gallen and toured through Germany, Austria, Spain, Hungary and Croatia. This year STARCH will leave Europe for the first time for a two month tour through Australia and Asia. With their extraordinary stage presence and delight in playing, the seven musicians built their reputation as a first class live-act. Starch will perform at X & Y Bar on Thursday 17th September. Free entry - no attitude!
