Harmonious local quartet Montpelier (pictured) launch their debut self-titled LP next month. After working with Kevin Augunas (Cold War Kids, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Yves Klein Blue) – the result of a chance encounter at SXSW and a fortuitous snow-ball effect – the lads take to The Zoo stage on Friday Mar 5 to play it live. Their maxim is to ‘create pop music with reason, rationale and transparency’, and on the night good friends Tin Can Radio and Timothy Carroll support. It’s $10 on the door or $8+bf through OzTix.
