The Lost Weekend Festival has been cancelled. In what was an interesting lead-up, promoters have decided to pull the pin on the inaugural event after venue alterations and reduced length seemingly failed to ignite punter interest. Hoping to emulate Meredith and Golden Plains, it appears Queensland audiences weren’t yet ready to support another summer festival (or at least that’s how we read: “[the festival] has had insufficient time to achieve critical mass”).
