Get a taste of summer before it’s gone
Grow your Mind is a bluesy but bright and surfy acoustic rock number from Brisbane band Jack And The Giant Killers featuring a group of well-travelled musos. Their catchy and melodic tunes will have you singing along to the hook-laden choruses in no time. Subtle production by Dave Atkins (of Resin Dogs and Wolfmother fame) sets a fun ambience, like the brass band section in Sins And Saviour and the reggae-tinged Trouble. It’s the likeable acoustic guitar pop-rock that made acts like the John Butler Trio and Jack Johnson popular. Jack And The Giant Killers sometimes stray towards that territory, but are original and quirky enough to not stay there for too long. Grow Your Mind is perfect for good times at the beach, in the backyard or simply being out there in the sunshine.
