Rock & fucking roll!
The Riot don’t do the subtlety thing. Without wasting any time, they assaults the ears with thrashy rock & roll, leaving you sweaty and short of breath at the end of this short, fast and loud demo. Opening track Hungry and Tired is the most memorable track simply for hook value. Other than that there isn’t a whole lot of variation between songs about girls, boozing and other shenanigans delivered with badass bluesy swagger. But for anyone who hasn’t cut their hair since that one Motörhead gig back in the ’80s, it shouldn’t matter too much. The Riot is an ideal backing soundtrack to head-banging, beer-drinking, chair-throwing good times.
