Trip Kicks: Indoor Festival - MAY 15TH
Monday, 03 May 2010
The “TRIP KICKS : INDOOR FESTIVAL” series has been setting nights alight since its inception with a fistful of shows completely sold out. This next party won’t be anything less than one hell of an electronic social gathering that will end in Byron being painted red.
The May 15th line up is packed full of festival regulars & trip kicked into gear with a twisted array of lighting, art & decor provided by Tuxtla & the 7whatevers posse that will pop you and ear & eye full of epic proportions.
And the line up goes a little somethin’ like this:
ANIKI (Ten Pound Crew, Brisbane) GIV & PAPERCRANES (Elsewhere) BRETT SELLWOOD (Never Land) DANIEL WEBBER (La La Land) DEEGS (Liquid) CAPTAINS KAINE (Nancy Boyz) LT80 (Nan & Pop Records) BUZZ (La La Land) BLAKE THOMPSON.

ANIKI Aniki is a self-confessed genre slut from Bris Vegas. Now believe us, that is a compliment! So what are the benefits of his musical prostitution to everyone in his presence? The Ten Pound Crew honcho’s genre-bending sets will provide Trip Kicks such a variety of sounds that he’ll have your foot tapping & head shaking wondering what the hell he could have in store next! In fact, for those of you that love Front Right Dancefloor, Aniki may just have you bounding to centre stage to show your appreciation of his kaleidoscope of mixes. http://www.myspace.com/anikidj
GIV & PAPER CRANES Giv and Stretch PaperCranes are two DJs that feed off each other with such energy and passion that you will be scratching your head wondering where one ends and the other begins. Being partnered at Elsewhere for over a year now this dynamic duo provide an enormous amount of quality music to the Trip Kicks line up. Infamously known for their take on indie electro and disco house themes they will no doubt have a few surprises up their sleeves – Giv with his own productions and Stretch with his attention-grabbing outfit! http://www.myspace.com/soundtraffik http://www.elsewherebar.com.au
BRETT SELLWOOD If Brett Sellwood had a funky colourful wheel spinning in front of him he would playfully point out a combination of house, indie electro, hip hop and dub-step as his favourites. His style is quite unique with mash ups and bootlegs littering his collection. This year he has continually added to his portfolio with his residency at Neverland and regular gigs at Elsewhere and Dirty Sundays. And he is super excited to be bounding onto the Trip Kicks stage to entertain a new crowd. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djjZh0QKucI
