There has been a sense of change emerging on the Sunshine Coast of late. This may be due to an infectious night of huge Drum n Bass mania about to hit the Coast! And Beatscraps is where it's at!

After the success of the initial Beatscraps event, in March earlier this year and the quickly gathering speed and interest in the Dubstep scene, round two of the Beatscraps adventures is set to be absolutely massive!

On Friday, 16
th of July, at Club Envy in Maroochydore, Beatscraps will bring you a captivating set of homegrown musical talents and the crème of Drum n Bass' finest local flair.

Headlining Beatscraps is DJ Rubix, Mr Simon Claridge. Born and raised in New Zealand, Simon is now based in Brisbane and is a renowned Drum n Bass DJ and well established within the Drum n Bass culture of Brisbane.

"Music is the only means whereby we all feel emotions in their universality...Drum n Bass is my channel to express this," says Mr Claridge.

Having travelling the world as a DJ and working with some of the most well known artists of the industry, Simon is full of insight and ready to bring you some dirty baselines and sweaty beats which will leave you wanting more.

Another featuring artist is Sunshine local DJ, LSX, Luke Johnson. Luke is well recognised on the Sunshine Coast music scene and is a regular DJ at 240V, and has a residency at the Office in Caloundra. With a fresh perspective and a versatile platform of genres, LSX shall be harassing his inner dub thoughts and providing us with some new and exciting beats.

In addition, Pollen, Dale Coutts, also local to the Sunshine Coast, brings to this huge local lineup, his collaborative and talented fit out. With a range of experience in live music gigs, the charismatic Pollen with his signature energy and musicianship will be sure to bring you a performance not to be forgotten.
