What do you boys enjoy most about Ekka time in Brisbane?
Man we’d love to go to the Ekka except Sam (drummer) doesn’t own any shoes! True story! When they notice, they usually make him wait outside or explain that they’re not covered if he cuts his feet on broken glass.
Who do you think would make the best drinking partner when slumped on the bar at The Jube: a carnie, a cowboy or a horse?
Well a carnie’s going to try to swindle all your cash; a cowboy’s going to try to fight you and probably has a gun; and nobody really likes horses, right? Did the horse come with the cowboy? Are they part of the show? These are important questions, so I guess without the hard facts it’s a call I just can’t make. What if the carnie’s really a clown, I don’t want to get ethered and wind up under some floorboards somewhere. Ok, I’ve thought about it, my answer is the horse.
Dick Desert – what a legend, right? What do you think would make an appropriate public monument to Dick?
You said Dick, haha! Yeah, look all the girls I know really like Dick and when they see him perform they just can’t get enough. As for the monument, what about just using the Stefan tower thing, maybe re-landscape the gardens below with a couple of large boulders?
Regarding your song Beaudesert What A Stinkin’ Hole, what do you have against the area? I once bought a pie from a hot bread kitchen around there and apart from the fingernail it was fine. Seems like a nice place.
A fingernail, you were one of the lucky ones. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of driving out of Beaudesert, most likely you’ve just been screwed over in one way or another and you swear you’ll never go back, then you get pulled over by the police and it all starts again.
