THE GUESTLIST: Dank Morass PDF Print E-mail

ImageFrom the mist, the dark shadows of the DANK MORASS crew appear, and behold – they have five tunes!

1. El-P – Meanstreak (In 3 Parts) (Gold Dust): Bieber remix aside, the Company Flow/Def Jux alumni is at the top of his production game with this paranoiac epic of low end shudder and trademark drum rolls.

2. Lorn & Samiyam – Brainwaves (Brainfeeder): The beat that lurks hungrily under your bed; it’s maw oozing horrendous drool as it intermittently issues lascivious snarls.

3. Blue Daisy vs Tokimonsta – USD (Team Acre): Another fiery collab proves more than the sum of its parts, as the trans-Atlantic duo roll out rickety snares and cascading synthgasms.

4. Vex’d – Angel (Planet Mu): Hey, wobbly dubstep of the last 18 months: 2005 called to show you how it’s actually done.

5. Andreya Triana – A Town Called Obsolete (Mount Kimbie Remix) (Ninja Tune): One of the most illuminating new vocalists gets a blurry stepping on from the Hot Flush duo du jour.

DANK MORASS play at Step Inn on Saturday Sep 4, with CERN (NZ), Degeneration (NZ) and more. www.dankmorass.com
