(Stonemason)
Great pop rock band, held back by the singer
If I was a 17-year-old girl, I would probably have loved this album. The band is a pretty good pop rock band altogether. I have to say that they definitely do a great job of mixing it up and keeping things interesting. Each song is distinctly different from the others, creative and unique. Production quality is awesome, and I loved the well-executed guitars and drums. The last track on this CD is ballad-like vocals accompanied by soft piano. The singer is okay, and I would definitely say that she suits the bands tone and direction. However, I find her vocals lacking range, and rather uninspired. I think that this is a band that is off to a great start, but Phoebe Parkinson (vocals) is a 17-year-old who would benefit from some singing lessons. Overall, this is a well-produced piece of work, and definitely worth checking out.
