Crossing the border this weekend, Byron Bay based band – The Leigh Carriage Quartet will treat Gold Coast Jazz enthusiasts to a night of divine music.  With her intense expressiveness and bold innovations, Leigh can totally captivate an audience. A polished and exuberant performer, she possesses an innate sense of musicality and precision.

 

Her band features Queensland born Steve Russell, one of Australia’s most eminent jazz pianist, innovative drummer Dave Sanders and the very cool Thierry Fossemalle on acoustic bass. These long time friends and outstanding musicians will present a creative and energetic evening of Jazz standards and popular songs as well as a few tunes as tribute to the life and music of the great Abbey Lincoln.
