Brisbane venues are dropping like flies, so there's never been a more crucial time to show some support to the live music scene. If you haven't been to The Beetle Bar yet, you're missing out on a cool joint devoted to local artists. Located at 350 Upper Roma Street, it's not the Valley and it's not the City and that makes it damn cool. What's even cooler is the minimal cover charge - often free! And the coolest of all, on Dec 3 you can catch New Jack Rubys with Obliterati and The Smokestack Orchestra. Be like Fonzy - cool.

I went to the Beetle Bar for the first time the other week. I was expecting some dingy horrible backpackers. I was mistaken. It's such a cool venue! ROCK AND ROLL |
