(Black Market Records) Aussie punk-flavoured goodness, round two So volume two of Black Marketeers is here. Fit to bursting with rugged Australian punk, (the real stuff, that is), it’s another solid release. The 30-track duration makes it a tad lengthy, and some songs on this compilation stumble into identical-sounding terrain after a while, but it contains tracks that are a cut above the rest. Cases in point: 57-second track In Your Eyes by Just Say Go!; Bad Day Down’s Single Parent, 1984; and The New Justice Team’s JFB. Not to mention political songs, such as Sydney City Trash’s Little Johnny. Not all of the songs here have political content, but they’re all as passionate as one another. If you cower in the face of swearing and loud guitars, this isn’t for you. If short ’n’ sweet punk tunes, filled with unabashed energy and fury are to your liking, then this is definitely for you.
