As you may know, Rave turns 20 this year! To celebrate 1000 issues in 20 years we’re having a party, appropriately titled Thousand In Twenty – and the first band helping us blow out the candles? Surf-pop via indie-rock behemoth Velociraptor (pictured). Harnessing 11 in their number (there may be more by now) Velociraptor have been bringing their free-wheeling good time racket to stages across Brisbane for a while now (you may have caught them at No Years and Stature::Statue’s last show at The Zoo). The collective will be bringing some “Gidget zombie beach party” vibes to celebrate our 20th at The Zoo on Friday Jul 15.
