What does Australian music legend Molly Meldrum say about So Beautiful sung by John Harley Weston? Greg Cary from Brisbane radio 4BC, who was first to play the song, says the response was immediate and overwhelming with thousands of hits on the Station’s website and listeners continuously calling in asking for the song. Greg vowed to make it a hit and interviewed cowboy hat wearing Australian Music legend Molly Meldrum for his thoughts on the song. Molly described the song as fantastic and agreed with Greg when he suggested the song would not be out of place being sung by Bono out of U2. Comparisons were made to James Blunt’s huge hit ‘You're Beautiful’ and Molly said that this song had the same kind of feel and the potential to be just as big. Brisbane songwriter Chris Miles wrote the lyrics about his wife who recently had cancer and survived it. The music was by Gold Coast songwriter Luke Damsma. All it needed was a great vocal performance to make the song work so the boys contacted Tamborine Mountain based singer-songwriter John Harley Weston to lend his award winning tones. The result ‘So Beautiful’. Available to purchase from iTunes, cdbaby and all other download sites.
