Indie Pop Singer Leshai Releases New Single
Monday, 10 October 2011
Peoria,IL- October 4, 2011- On October 2nd, 15-year- old indie pop singer Leshai released her latest single “Easy” via ReverbNation and MySpace.com. “Easy” is the second single from Leshai’s debut album, Devil’s Kiss, which is scheduled to be released late next month.
As both an accomplished singer and songwriter, Leshai embodied both of these talents into her latest single. “Easy”, which was written by the singer, is a smooth, mellow pop song that is a combination of both Pop and R&B. “Easy” takes listeners on a journey of how “easy” true love really should be.This concept is made evident in the first few lines of the song: I was wasting all my time/flirting with lies and pain/ then a light came shining though the rain/ then your love was evident/ I never knew that love would be this easy.”
The single “Easy” is a follow up from Leshai’s debut single “You’re Like” which peaked at N0. 7 on the Pop Charts for ReverbNation.com. While “You’re Like” is an upbeat Pop/R&B song, “Easy” is a smooth sultry ballad with a strong bass.
Since Leshai is only 15, critics feel that her age may stunt her rise to stardom and overshadow her talent. Leshai makes it very clear that she is in no way intimidated by the fact that she is only 15.
“Many artists have started out as child entertainers and have gone on to be very successful. I don’t think talent can be measured by age.”
Leshai plans to release her debut album Devil’s Kiss in late November.
