George Lucas continues his never-ending quest to ruin all that the Rave On crew hold dear. Rob Newcombe goes into the foetal position with nightmares of Midichlorians and robotic child actors. Alasdair Duncan turns to counting pennies, saving up for Madonna’s pricey concert tickets. And Mitch Alexander just goes into a rage rant, focussing his energy on Ringo Starr, Kanye West and Van Halen. Oh, the huge manitee!
AV&A spans an animated Ryan Adams, an out of control Kristen Bell and a prequel series to the landmark graphic novel The Watchmen. Extra points if you can guess who talks about what, just based on those descriptions.
Finally, the trio put the hate on hold for a few minutes during The Gang Gets Nerdy. This week, Mitch has brought in a cult classic and personal record collection favourite in the form of Big Star’s Radio City album. The sophomore album from the Nashville couldabeens was forged in violent confrontations, break-ups and financial ruin. So how come September Gurls and What’s Going Ahn? Sound so pretty?
