YOU AM I are back. Back, better than ever. With a new record under their belt, YOU AM I head out on a national tour this coming June - their first for 2006. Kicking off in QLD next month, the tour takes in all capital cities before finishing up at Splendour In The Grass late July. With their new record “Convicts” out Monday May 13th, YOU AM I"Thank God I've Hit The Bottom”, to the simply gorgeous "Secrets", to the first single "Ain’t It Funny We Don’t Talk Anymore", the new album is vintage YOU AM I. hit back with an album that offers cast iron proof they are still at the top of their game. From the opening punch of To celebrate the release of the new record, YOU AM I do it the best way they know how – by hitting the road. The "bugger me it's.... YOU AM I" tour promises to be the perfect balancing act - with a tasty mix of the very old alongside the very new. As far as rock n roll classics go - their live show has it in spades. A back catalog spanning 7 albums, the set list is peppered with magic, from “Berlin Chair”, to “Cathy’s Clown”, and “Heavy Heart”, it’s a never ending stream of YOU AM I hits. Also joining YOU AM I on the road will be The Drones. Home after a 6 month tour of duty in the U.K., Europe and the U.S., The Drones take up the national support slot giving audiences a taste of their forthcoming new album “Gala Mill”. So if you want to see how bloody good live music can be - then this is the rock show for you. Plenty of loud guitars, lashings of great rock songs, and a little bit of rhythm and swing.
