What if one man could be a whole band?

One thing I have never been able to figure out is playing all your own instruments. According to me if you are that motivated and multi-instrumental you must be pretty darned special. So anyway where I am going with this is not far from the instrument thing. Rob Lennox played all the instruments on Sol (which in Spanish means sun). It’s an indie Brisbane release. All the songs sound pretty similar to each other, his vocals are understated to say the least, with some nice effects over the top. The guitar stays safe but clangy in a retro kinda way, and his lyrics are melancholy, not overly profound but thought-provoking nonetheless. Love To Make is a pop rock gem, definitely the kind of song that should get some (commercial) airplay. Vanish is beautiful and long, taking the album to a fittingly calm and understated (did I already use that word?) end.
