Aussie hip hop – RVL8 are Rollin!

Revel8 (also known as Paul Anderson) was originally the drummer from the funk collective Jacob’s Well, Paul was cut from the band after he forgot his drum kit and was forced to beat-box during one fateful set. Two years on Revel8 makes his debut with Rollin’ With The Punches. Each track is an insight to Revel8’s personality and skills as an MC. The lead single Rollin’ (feat. The Educator from the Winnie Coopers) is a fun track, a nice summer-y vibe that contrasts with Revel8’s darker and edgier side. Beneath the smooth beats and lyrical content you’ll find messages of hope and something akin to Sydney’s El Shaddai Crew, Revel8 preaches redemption through God in tracks like Trading Places, Do You Know and Conscience Calling. The album is a testimony of sorts for the Brisbane MC, who persevered towards his dreams and still has the courage to break in swingin’.
