First up tonight is the local punk rock drinking machine known as The Gift Horse – I love these guys, they play punk rock with a heavy late ‘90s punk sound and they do it well tonight. With two new releases out soon these guys are only going to be getting bigger, better and drunker! A Secret Death are one of the best heavy bands this country has to offer, and add some diversity to tonight’s line-up, which is great. Playing some older tracks alongside newer ones (which will be on the new long player out in early 2008), A Secret Death always entertain. If you like music that doesn’t suck, then A Secret Death should be your new favourite band.

Boys Night Out are here all the way from Canada and tonight sees them play to a small yet excited crowd. It is pretty much a ‘best of’ set with tracks from Make Yourself Sick, Trainwreck and the new self-titled album featuring throughout. Boys Night Out write the best pop/punk/rock tracks ever, and live, they make all that much more fun. With 2008 coming to a close it’s time to remember the best shows of 2008, sadly only a few people were smart enough to get their arses to this awesome show tonight… oh well!
