EMMA DEAN TO SUPPORT AMANDA PALMER PLUS ANNOUNCES SHOWS IN SYDNEY AND CANBERRA

"... when has this inventive singer/songwriter ever put a foot wrong?" - Time Off

Brisbane singer/musician Emma Dean has just been announced as the main support for Boston's Amanda Palmer, the singer, songwriter and pianist for the Dresden Dolls. Dresen Dolls are, of course, famous around the globe for straddling the line between weimar cabaret and punk. The support slot will see Emma in intimate mode accompanied by just her cellist Laura Driver and guitarist Dane Pollock.

The next day Emma will embark on a whirlwind trip to down south, taking in two dates in Canberra and Sydney with Wons Phreely (currently touring with Ben Lee and Ben Kweller) and Princess One Point Five (Victoria).

These shows will close a fantastic year for Emma that has seen the her play some of the best shows of her career to date here at home and in Melbourne, Sydney and particularly overseas. Her single '3 Meals' has seen some considerable airplay on Triple J and community radio nation-wide while her nation-wide profile continues to grow. Emma Dean will be heading back into the studio briefly in early December to record her next single, the first glimpse of her forthcoming debut album scheduled for release in 2008 - stay tuned.
