Finally, something to get excited about Like An Arrow is an immediately conspicuous EP, in that the sound references acts like My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive, but from the perspective of Oz-rock contemporaries like Little Birdy. The guitars are all fuzz and grit, the vocals heavenly and female, and the drums striated for full rhythmic effect, while an organ adds a ghostly warmth. It’s as catchy as anthrax as well, to point where I wonder if I’ve simply been starved of a decent shoegazer record this year, or whether theredsunband are in fact the shit. I guess it’s a combination of the two. Listening to Giant Drag while ogling Annie Hardy’s MySpace photo wasn’t going to last forever, and theredsunband are positively awesome. I’m not going to tell you they’re the ones to watch in 2008, I’m saying they’re good now, and this EP is a great reminder of why you still go the record store. JAKEB SMITH

this is so lame i want this song but i can't get it anywhere i dnt want virus wire so im stuck with shittie ares its as if god doesn't want any1 to listen to thier music because when i asked my mate if he could download it he had to go then i asked some1 else and they could only get shit versions of it and even google dosn't have a site for me! FUK! oh yeah and the same goes for bridezilla's brown paper bag AND the only good song architecture in helsinki have ever made That Beep like WTF |
